When an boxy BMW with bulging fenders appears on the scene, it catches the attention of every car lover. It is a car on which you can see from the first glance that it was directly developed for motorsport. It is not only a legend due to its design, but mainly thanks to its high-revving four-cylinder engine with the S14 code. Of course, today's latest M3s have double the power, driving is not all about how many horses are under the hood. To know the charm of this vehicle, you need to sit behind the wheel and give it a good airing on your favorite road. Then there is no doubt why the M3 E30 was also so successful on the racetrack.
The red M3 you're looking at was made in 1989, but it's safe to say that the car is new to the market. Its first owner came from Germany. He took advantage of the offer at the time and right after the purchase took it straight to BMW specialists - the company A.C. Schnitzer, which upgraded the 2.5-liter engine to "S3 Sport" specification. The modification concerned the production of a custom-made exhaust system, installing a better suspension and modifying the nowadays old Bosch Motronic control unit.
Currently, the M3 has been garaged since 1997 by its second owner in England (hence the English license plates, but it has the original left-hand drive). The Brilliant Red paintwork is in really perfect condition, the red color fits the E30 perfectly. The interior in Anthracite Uberkaro Gray Sport shade is also in excellent condition. It is really difficult to get out of the original seats with excellent lateral guidance. Moreover, even when you have a three-spoke steering wheel in front of you with the ///M sign and a tachometer with a red field up to 7500 revolutions per minute. However, the BMW has only 89,900 kilometers on it!
Recently, the English owner did a complete overhaul of the engine so that the car will be 100% ready when the new owner comes for it. The beautiful appearance is enhanced by the freshly renovated aluminium wheels from the M3 Sport Evolution painted in Nogaro Silver. We don't know exactly how many horsepower the engine produces, but it will be slightly more than the original 195 horsepower. The BMW M3 E30 will be looking for a new owner on August 26 at the Silverstone Festival 2023 auction. The sellers estimate the price in the range of €80,000 to €92,000.
